Philippe Lieberman, a Founding Member of the firm, has over twenty years of experience representing and advising domestic and international entities and individuals, including Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs and developers, in complex business litigation matters. He handles cases in State and Federal Courts throughout the United States, and in arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association (AAA), ICC International Court of Arbitration, and National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
Philippe’s background in finance and international business gives him a strategic advantage against many of his adversaries as he is uniquely able to cut through the complex financial issues that underlie many disputes. Indeed, Philippe uses his knowledge and understanding of finance and business to grasp the broader issues and develop creative strategies to exceed his clients’ expectations and goals.
In his practice, Philippe represents clients relating to complex commercial matters, real estate disputes, business, partnership and joint venture matters, shareholders’ derivative actions, fiduciary obligations and corporate governance, financial fraud, lender liability, foreclosures, trade secrets and covenants not to compete.
Philippe understands the toll that litigation can take on a business’ day-to-day operations, so he works closely with his clients to consider the strategies that are best suited for the business in the short and long term. He makes sure that his clients fully understand the issues and stakes before selecting the appropriate strategic path.
Born in Europe and fluent in French, Philippe has a diverse clientele, frequently representing entrepreneurs, real estate developers, foreign and local investors, brokers, and businesses. In his spare time, Philippe is an avid European football (soccer) fan and cyclist.
